Prepare machine for relocation
If machine is equipped with a ROPS, always wear your seat belt/operator restraint when loading or unloading your machine.
When transporting a loader, follow the manufacturer’s recommended loading and unloading procedures.
Several precautions are applicable to all machines:
• Load and unload on a level surface.
• Block transport vehicle so it cannot move.
• Use ramps of adequate size and strength, low angle and proper height.
• Keep trailer bed and ramps clean of clay oil ice, snow, and other materials which can become slippery.
• Back the loader up the ramp onto the transport vehicle (unload by driving forward, down the ramp).
• Chain and block machine securely for transport.
• Check your overall transport height.

Move machine safely between worksites, observing relevant codes and traffic management requirements
Floating Machine
• Make sure the safe workload of a float is not exceeded.
• Check that the deck is in good condition.
• If the deck is steel, make sure that timber or rubber is provided and placed between the deck and the tracks (only if tracked machine) to prevent sliding (steel on steel).
• Tie down machine with approved tie down chains to secure machine.
• Provide warning signs for wide load etc.
• Clearly mark any protruding attachments with red flags.
• Provide escorts if necessary.
• Apply all brakes and locks.
Driving on the Road
• The machine must be registered, or a permit must be obtained to legally drive on the road.
• The machine must be roadworthy and comply with all State and Territory Road traffic regulations.
• Operator must hold a current driver’s licence for the right class of the machine.
• If a seat belt is fitted the operator must wear it.
